WAP or Wireless Access Protocol is a set of communication protocol standards so that accessing online services from mobile phone becomes simple. WAP was conceived by four companies, Nokia, Ericsson, Motorolla and Unwird Planet (Nowadays called Phone.com). The WAP Forum is an industry association with over 200 members.
