ADSL

ADSL is an acronym for Asymmetic Digital Subscriber Line. By use of ADSL, the data can sent over traditional copper telephone lines at high speeds. It is called asymmetric because data can be downloaded at speeds upto 1.544 Megabits per second but can be uploaded at speeds upto 128 Kilobits per second. Because of this reason it is highly suited for web, where more data is sent by server to client computer than the data sent by client to server.
