Bot is an automatic program which can execute a specific procedure when it receives some input. Bot is basically derived from the word "Robot". Bots are mostly used on internet in the fields of web searching and online chat. Bots at online chat greet people when they enter the chat room. The bots used in web searching crawl different websites and add the data to the search engine index.
